Sabayon Linux è una distribuzione GNU/Linux basata su Gentoo creata da Fabio Erculiani, e prodotta in Trentino, precedentemente conosciuta con il nome di RR4. Il nome deriva dal dessert italiano zabajone. Sabayon incorpora sia i driver proprietari (installati di default) che quelli opensource (selezionabili al momento dell'avvio dell'ambiente live) per le schede Nvidia ed ATI Technologies e dispone sin dalla versione Live delle tecnologe Xgl ed AIGLX, nonché di Compiz Fusion, sistema desktop che sfrutta l'accelerazione hardware 3D. Nonostante Gentoo sia una distribuzione notoriamente difficile da usare ed installare, Sabayon si propone come sistema operativo capace di mettere a disposizione dell'utente tutto il software di utilità fin dal primo avvio. L'installer è stato sviluppato in Anaconda. Il Live DVD contiene molto software pronto per l'uso.
